How to make homemade meatpie without the meatpie cutter.

Recipes

1 lb ground beef or minced meat

1 onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 medium carrots, diced

1 medium potato, diced

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

2 sheets of store-bought pie crust or homemade pastry

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.

Stir in the diced carrots and potatoes. Cook for another 5 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.

Add the tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove the skillet from the heat and let the filling mixture cool slightly.

Roll out the pie crust on a lightly floured surface. Using a round cutter or a small bowl, cut out circles from the pastry dough.

Spoon some of the meat filling onto one half of each pastry circle, leaving a small border around the edges.

Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges together firmly to seal the pies.

Use a fork to crimp the edges of the pies for a decorative finish.

Place the assembled pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the tops of the pies with the beaten egg wash.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Enjoy your homemade meat pies!
