Here is a delicious and easy-to-make steamed chicken recipe:


Ingredients

- 1 whole chicken (about 1 kg), cleaned

- 2 cloves garlic, chopped

- 1 clove shallot, chopped

- 1 tbsp chopped ginger

- 2 tbsp Chinese soy sauce

- 1 tbsp sesame oil

- 1 tsp salt

- 1/2 tsp pepper powder

- 2 tbsp lime juice

- 2 pieces of spring onion, sliced

- 1 tsp hoisin sauce (optional)


How to make

1. Prepare a steamer, boil water.

2. Mix garlic, shallot, ginger, Chinese soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper powder in a bowl.

3. Brush the spice mixture all over the surface of the chicken.

4. Place the chicken in a steamer, cover with a lid.

5. Steam the chicken for 30-40 minutes or until cooked.

6. Remove the chicken, brush with lime juice.

7. Serve the chicken with a sprinkling of sliced spring onions and your favorite sauce


Tips

- Make sure the chicken is fresh and clean before steaming.

- If you want a stronger flavor, you can add a little Chinese soy sauce or sesame oil.
